Literature: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I started reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I love it! It's so funny!!! 🙂

Chapter 1 & 2 Summary

There was a small house on a hill that was owned by a man named Arthur Dent. One day, a bulldozer comes by his home. He wakes up and does his normal routine of waking up. Later he notices the bulldozer by his home. He rushes out of his house and lies down on the bulldozer to make sure the bulldozer does not bulldoze his house. The driver of the bulldozer tells him that it has to happen but Arthur doesn’t budge. For hours they argue, until Arthur’s friend Ford Prefect comes along. He tells Arthur that he must come to the pub to talk. Arthur explains to him that his house is in grave danger. Ford tells the Driver to take Arthur’s place for a while. He Gets out of the bulldozer and lays on it. Ford brings Arthur to the pub and give him plenty of drinks while he explains to him that earth is about to be destroyed and replaced by a space highway and that he wants to save Arthur so he doesn’t die. Arthur also learns that Ford is not human and a writer of an awaited book: The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
