What I Learned Today 10/29/14

Geography:

I worked on my map of the USA today. I colored the borders red. I colored each state a different color and put a dot where the capital city is, then I will write in the capital city. I put the state abbreviations inside the states. I have to finish the rest, color the rivers dark blue, shade the lakes light blue, and find the mountain ranges and shade them brown. I have to label all the rivers, lakes, and mountains.

Cub Scouts/PALA:

I finished my six weeks of the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award and earned a certificate and will get a medal. I am going to keep doing the nutrition things it says and be active every day. I did four Take & Sell popcorn hikes and walked a total of 10.6 miles! I met my personal popcorn selling goal and sold over $775 in popcorn. I will earn the “Fish Club” prize, which is a new rod and reel, a cool patch, and a ticket to the Gauranteed Catch fishing derby at Belk Camp. I also get to pick prizes from the $750 club brochure.

Pre-Algebra:

I continued to work on Alcumus today. I did negation and subtraction.

To Kill A Mockingbird:

I read chapter two of TKAM and discussed it.

I remember in grade school having to learn all the states and their capitals too. You really are a great job on the map. You are doing a very neat job, so proud of all you are doing. Keep it up!

Hope you have fun Halloween night, don’t let the adults eat all your good candy! LOL

So happy your dad will be helping you with your math. That is such wonderful idea and a great way to stay in
    touch:)
