These two days were really busy getting ready for my weekend first cub scouts camping trip and going to doctor appointments. When my mom has doctor appointments, she gives me my workbooks to do. So I worked on grammar. So far I learned about nouns, pronouns, and adjectives. I also studied for my vocabulary test, and I learned some Latin root words. To get ready for camping, I had to learn how to pack everything efficiently, clean my canteens, put together a first-aid kit, learn to work the lantern and stove, and remember everything because we had to pack A LOT of stuff. I earned PALA scout points for my fitness by hauling and lifting. I went grocery shopping with my mom and because she's wrapped up from her toes all the way up now, she had to sit in one of the carts you drive. I helped her by putting all the items in the cart I pushed behind her, putting everything on the moving belt at check out, putting all the groceries that were bagged in the cart, and then I packed the car with the bags. She was very proud of me she said, and I was glad I could help now that I am stronger. I used to only be able to carry one bag at a time, but now I can carry FOUR! I also finished BBC DanceMat Typing, yet my keyboarding skills are still slow. Mom is going to help me practice. She said that's the only way to get fast. I also worked on my Java programming because it's a big project. It will probably take me all year to finish, but that's ok because it's fun.
I also spent time helping train Moxie when the service dog trainer came Thursday. She is learning to hug my mom. She has mastered sit, down (that means to lie down fast), to stay, and to give kisses. She is so cute!!! I love to play with her. Here are some pictures of my mom's legs wrapped that I took and pictures of me and Moxie (but I call her Miss a Truffle Nubs!!!) playing and hugging. I still love Foxie but can't help but love Moxie's beautiful face. 🙂
I made my mom pose for this one and took it creatively by holding the camera diagonal! I will post pictures of my camping trip on Monday. SO STAY TUNED!!! I hope we do t get eaten by bears!!! 🙂
Congrats on the PALA points!! Yes, you are beginning to be a big help around the house. I’m sure your mom is very thankful and proud of you. Typing does take practice. I remember I started taking typing class in the 7th grade on an old fashioned typewriter. Continued to take it thru high school and got really good at it. It’s one of those things you never forget. Now typing on an iphone is a different story. You are really good at that and I barely can get a sentence written in 5 mins. LOL Saw some of your camping pictures, so glad it was a good experience.
It looks like it didn’t rain and you weren’t eaten by bears:) love you
